Carrie Fisher (October 21, 1956 - December 27, 2016) was an American actress, writer and author. Born in Beverly Hills, California, Fisher was best known for her portrayal of Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies as well as her comedic roles in films such as The Blues Brothers, When Harry Met Sally, The 'Burbs, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (in which Mark Hamill also appears).
Fisher died at the age of 60 on December 27, 2016 after suffering a massive heart attack during a flight home from London to Los Angeles on December 23, 2016.
