Fred Willard (born 1933, died 2020) was an American comedian and actor.

Originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio, Fred Willard honed his skills at the Second City Theater in Chicago. He came to national prominence as the co-star of Fernwood Tonight and its spin-off America 2-Night alongside Martin Mull.

Fred Willard had a long and successful career in films, television, and live theatre and he was widely considered to be a comedy luminary. He collaborated with Christopher Guest in many of Guest's improvisation-heavy films such as This is Spinal Tap (directed by Rob Reiner), Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, and For Your Consideration.

Willard passed away of natural causes, aged 86, on May 15, 2020.
