James Edward Franco (born April 19, 1978) is an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He had been one of the stars of the TV series Freaks and Geeks, and later enjoyed great success in films.
In 2017, Franco directed and starred in the film adaptation of Greg Sestero's book "The Disaster Artist", which chronicles the chaotic making of the film The Room by Tommy Wiseau (which had earlier been a RiffTrax presentation).
