Josh Fruhlinger (pronounced "FROO-lingh-er) is a writer and performer. He produces the popular daily comic strip blog The Comics Curmudgeon. In this capacity, he frequently makes light of the absurd elements in the Spider-Man comic strip, which prompted him being invited to join Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett on the RiffTrax presentation of Spider-Man 2.
Biography[]
Josh was born in Buffalo, New York. He has lived and worked in San Francisco, Berlin, and Baltimore. He has appeared as a contestant on Jeopardy! and had a regular column on the political commentary site Wonkette. He also contributed to the various incarnations of [Citation Needed] with Conor Lastowka.
In 2013, he published his first novel "The Enthusiast".
Josh currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their cat. He hosts a monthly live stand-up comedy show called The Internet Read Aloud.
While he is familiar with the newspaper version of Spider-Man, Josh has limited knowledge of other superheroes and comic books.
